While we are on a Security Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have kept a journal of events and mission related posts with pictures that chronicles our time in the Philippines.

Attended the American - Philippine Memorial at the Cemetery
Posting of the colors for both the United States and the Philippines Family with banner honoring the Fallen Soldiers
Me with a LDS Filipino Eagle Scout
Two of the Filippino WWII Veterens. They were all too willing to let me take a picture.
Kathy, Thanks so much for posting these photos. Would love to see more if you have any more. Tomorrow we are going to the VFW service in Solana Beach to hear Susan (Herron) Thompson, who will be one of the speakers there. I love history and as it would happen, I was asked to speak today in sacrament meeting. My talk was all about the lessons learned by soldiers who fought during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. What a week it was, preparing for it, but it has been very much on my mind. I read so many stories, most of which I never used, but fascinating to learn what people have endured in the cause of freedom. Sounds like you are enjoying your service very much. When is the Cebu Temple dedication? I have a Filipino co-worker (well, I have several!) but one in particular who was very interested to hear more about it. Thanks for the updates. Hope you are both doing great. Love, Kathleen
A couple of my darling students are Eagle Scouts. They are graduating seniors and shared about their awesome experiences in scouting - and they aren't even LDS. Fun to see the program is so international.
