Manila Temple

This the view of the Manila Temple from our office window. Right now the maintenance crew is outside cleaning the stained glass windows and outside building. Because there are no emission controls here, the air is polluted and dust builds up very quickly. Beautiful view of the temple and we are pleased to be here.

  1. What a beautiful view from your office! You mentioned there are no emission controls over there. China, and India do not have such controls either, yet they blame the U.S. for global warming.
I notice from pics you send of members that they have that light of intellegence in their eyes, or I could call it that "Mormon look". It is interesting how living the gosple can change even ones physical apparence. I'm loving all your posts. Please don't stop. They inspire me.
    Love to you both, TERRIE

  2. Thanks Terrie for your comment. Glad you are enjoyin the blog. Saw some American Mormons in the S&R (Costco) store last night. She approached me and said...What mission are you assigned to? I just hugged her. An American face and a Mormon at that. Love it. The husband works at the American Embassy. And then we saw our contact from the American Embassy there as well. So good to see them.

  3. Hi Mom- The pictures of the Temple remind me a little like the Denver or Las Vegas Temple. Some similarities, would you say? Looks like your office that you work out of it is attractive and welcoming.
Is the temple being completed? I saw scaffolding. (sp?)

    Love you. Julie

  4. Julie..The scaffolding around the temple is for workmen to climb and clean the spires. It has been closed for two weeks for cleaning. It will open on Monday. Yes, there are some similarities however the rooms inside are quite small. Smaller than you would image.
    Love you too, Mom
